East Karawang (, ) is an administrative district ( kecamatan) of Karawang Regency. It covers a land area of 29.77 km2, and had a population of 118,001 at the 2010 Census[Biro Pusat Statistik, Jakarta, 2011.] and 146,326 at the 2020 Census;[Badan Pusat Statistik, Jakarta, 2021.] the official estimate as at mid 2024 was 149,866 (comprising 75,236 males and 74,630 females).[Badan Pusat Statistik, Jakarta, 26 September 2025, Kecamatan Karawang Timur Dalam Angka 2025 (Katalog-BPS 1102001.3215112)]
The district centre is at the town of East Adiarsa, and the district is sub-divided into four urban communities ( kelurahan) and four nominally rural villages ( desa), all listed below with their areas and populations as at mid 2024,[Badan Pusat Statistik, Jakarta, 26 September 2025, Kecamatan Karawang Timur Dalam Angka 2025 (Katalog-BPS 1102001.3215112)] together with their postcodes. The first four communities listed in the table are the desa, while the last four are kelurahan.

Climate
Karawang has a tropical monsoon climate (Am) with moderate to little rainfall from May to October and heavy rainfall from November to April.
